It is now four league titles in a row for City, an unprecedented achievement, and six of the last seven. Pep GuardiolaThe Manchester United team is hailed by some as the best team in English football history. But not all.
The looming hearing into 115 alleged breaches of financial rules – allegations they strongly deny – has led others to dismiss City's performance as invalid.
Standard sport asked two prominent Arsenal and City fans to have their say.

I can't recognize their titles
Phil Wall, board member of the Arsenal Supporters' Trust
Two title races, no titles. Makes that Mikel Arteta a failure? Of course not. He is taking on a club with unlimited wealth. Pep Guardiola gets irritated when you talk about the money and distract from his undoubted genius, but he protests too much.
Four consecutive titles are unprecedented in English football and even surpass Herbert Chapman's record in Huddersfield – Huddersfield! – and then Arsenal, who won three in a row, at a time when the muddy playing field was much more level. So, Pep, I salute you. You are a time-defining coach. But I can't recognize City's titles.
Maybe they get what they deserve, or maybe their lawyers get them off. Even if he is found guilty, will that give the titles to Arsenal? Probably not, because how far back can history be rewritten? What's done is (probably) done. We will go again next season.

Well, that didn't last long, did it? Arsenal supporters are once again looking for excuses for not winning the Premier League.
Does what happens off the field influence what happens on the field? If they think so, perhaps they should take into account that their coach, Mikel Arteta, was at City during the period covered by the charges. If not, that's fine, just looking forward to next season.
As for the impact on City fans, take a guess. City have strongly denied all allegations and look forward to proving their innocence. Please don't give Everton and Nottingham Forest any information about this as they accepted blame while City did not.
Four in a row. Best Premier League team ever.
