Easter is on its way, and the British looking forward to a much needed one bank holiday weekend filled with family, friends and way too much chocolate.

If you are expecting company and have forgotten an essential, you may need to run to the supermarket at the last minute to stock up, or you may want to take advantage of the pause to get your essential food shopping done.

Anyway, your nearest Asda shop may not be open at usual times.

Asda opening hours for Good Friday 2023

Most Asda branches will be open on Good Friday as usual, and we’ll see no change to their opening hours.

Some 24-hour branches will remain open 24 hours as usual, although others may also have shorter hours depending on where you are in the country.

When is Asda open over the Easter holiday weekend?

Opening hours vary from branch to branch, but times for most Asda stores are as follows:

  • Friday April 7: 07:00 – 22:00
  • Saturday April 8: 07:00 – 22:00
  • Sunday April 9: Closed
  • Monday April 10: 07:00 – 20:00

Most Asda stores are open on the Saturday before Easter, giving you plenty of time to stock up before they close for the break.

Some may close earlier than usual, so check the website for exact opening times before you go.

Asda opening hours for Easter Sunday 2023

Like many other supermarket chains, Asda gives its staff a well-deserved break on Easter Sunday, this year it falls on Sunday 9 April.

This means all major branches in England, Wales and Northern Ireland will be closedalthough Asda Express convenience stores may still be open.

Branches in Scotland will be open, although some may close again for the Easter holidays.

Petrol stations will probably also keep their normal opening hours.

Asda will open its doors again on Easter Monday, although the opening hours may differ from the usual holidays.

Some stores may return to their regular hours, though others are likely to open later and close earlier than usual.

Depending on where you are in the country, some may open their doors around 7am or 8am and close again around 8pm.

As usual, check the opening hours on the website before you go shopping.

Is Asda still delivering home deliveries over the Easter holiday weekend?

Asda only suspends grocery delivery on Easter Sunday, meaning you won’t be able to get your grocery delivery to your home that day.

From 21 March, online shoppers can order everything they need for Easter weekend, with slots starting at £1.50 depending on the date and time of day and a minimum spend of £40 for delivery or £25 for click and collect .
