The 22-year-old father of her three-month-old baby was an interesting person, according to CBS.

The arrest in Brooklyn was announced by the local station PIX11 News

New York Police Department confirmed to PEOPLE that Johnson was pushing the stroller on Manhattan’s Upper East Side when someone approached her and shot her in the head in a suspected targeted attack.

Police said the hooded man, dressed all in black, shot her from behind, at close range.

She was found unconscious at the scene and taken to the Metropolitan Hospital, where she was pronounced dead, according to multiple sources. Her baby was unharmed.

A chilling final text from Johnson revealed she met with the 3-month-old’s father “to work things out” the day of the murder, police told ABC7.

“I knew it would come to this, and I said this to my daughter,” Lisa Desort, the victim’s mother, told ABC.

“For some reason, she felt like she needed to be followed, so she texted her sister and said, ‘This is my location, just in case.’ †
