Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling wore the brightest psychedelic outfits possible while filming the latest scenes for the upcoming Barbie movie – but it was a fan’s simple bikini that got everyone talking.
Production of the anticipated Warner Bros. movie is in full swing this week, with Margot (31) and Ryan (41) coming into character as Barbie and Ken living in a very pink world.
Fans live for absolutely every frame of the action, which so far has seen Wolf or Wall Street actress Margot take her bubble-hot pink Barbie car outside her equally-hot-pink pink house, and The Notebook actor Ryan has debuted his platinum blonde hair as Ken.
However, movie lovers who cast their eagle eyes over every inch of all the photos mean they are not missing anything – and they happened to spot a fan’s striking bikini that could just as well get a starring role in Barbie herself.
Margot and Ryan took Barbie and Ken’s roller skating on Tuesday to Venice Beach, Los Angeles, where they naturally attracted a crowd of sunbathers who were comfortable going about their relaxed day as the two A-listers whizzed past them.
One woman quickly swiped out her phone and probably had no idea she was going to be the subject of attention, thanks to her very naked triangular bikini that made it look like she was naked at first.
“I love it, but I really thought that woman was naked,” one fan tweeted as the photo went viral on social media, while another replied, “The same I was laughing at and then it was like ‘oh nvm. ”
Another believed: “I saw the woman in the background, was confused and thought” wow, they really commit to the whole barbie thing. ”
“That poor girl just wanted to enjoy seeing Margot Robbie and chose a very bad day to wear a naked bikini,” one commenter joined.
One fan joked: ‘My brain: Margot Robbie literally serves – IS THIS A NUDE LADY … * zoom in * oh, it’s just a “nude bikini.” Oh … thank you sir. Now back to Margot … ‘
Another stood up to Margot and admitted, ‘I came for the flesh-colored bikini. I stayed for the Margot Robbie. ‘
We have yet to find out if Margot and Ryan have noticed, but probably not, because this is Barbie and Ken’s world and we just live in it.
When they did not draw crowds to the beach, the Hollywood stars were seen filming intense scenes elsewhere in Venice. The pair were seen furiously as they made a mad flight through the streets with Margot dressed in a pink cowgirl outfit with flared pants with a bandana tied around her neck, while Ryan wore a black western dressed in inspired outfits, complete with tassels over his shirt.
After recovering from the drama, the two were seen chatting and laughing between scenes.
The box office hit will also see Will Ferrell and Doctor Who’s Ncuti Gatwa play alongside the two lead roles that make for a particular A-list cast. Greta Gerwig will be the director of the live-action-rom-com based on the iconic Mattel doll.
Barbie will hit theaters on July 21, 2023.
