Battersea: Two passengers die after car rolls over in London crash

A man and a woman have both been killed after the car they were driving crashed overnight in London.

The driver of the Mini Cooper survived along with another passenger, taking both of them to the hospital where they remain.

The police were called byy paramedics at 3:26 am today to reports of the Mini Cooper on its roof on Latchmere Road in Battersea.

Emergency services tried to help the two victims, but they were pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators said they did not believe other vehicles were involved in the collision.

The driver, a 22-year-old woman, was subsequently arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

Investigators are now looking for witnesses to the double fatality collision near Latchmere Leisure Centre.

They called on anyone who witnessed the collision or has dashcam footage of the incident to get in touch.

The road closures will remain in effect during the investigation.
