Birmingham New Street stabbings: two teenagers stabbed outside Odeon cinema | UK | News

Two teenage boys were stabbed outside a movie theater this morning, police have confirmed.

The stabbing took place shortly before 8.30am on Thursday 17 November on New Street in Birmingham, outside the Odeon cinema.

The victims, both 17 years old, suffered serious injuries and were rushed to hospital.

West Midlands Police have cordoned off the scene and an investigation is underway. reports Birmingham Live.

In a statement, police said: “We are investigating after two teenagers were stabbed this morning (November 17) in central Birmingham.

It happened just before 8.30am outside the Odeon cinema in New Street. The young men, both 17, were taken to hospital with serious injuries.

“We have cordoned off the area and expedited investigations are underway to find those responsible.

It comes as Birmingham Live received reports of a second cordon near the arena, yards from the New Street cordon. It has not yet been confirmed if the two locations are linked, but West Midlands Police have been contacted for more information.
