Blink49 Studios has appointed Nadine Rajabi as executive vp, without a script.
Rajabi, based in Los Angeles, will focus on building new franchises for the Fifth Season-backed producer as it grows its slate of nonfiction series for the U.S. market. She was an executive producer on Bravo's Below Deck Mediterranean Sea, Under the deck And Below Deck: Down Under series through a first-look deal with NBC Universal Cable through her company, Tanks Girl Productions.
Rajabi will report to Tara Long, president of unscripted global television. “Nadine's proven success will be instrumental in advancing Blink49's unscripted strategy forward,” Long said in a statement Friday.
In addition to TV production, Rajabi has also worked as a presenter and stand-up comedian, having previously worked as a commentator for VH1, E!, Bravo and Lifetime, and as a host Nadine @ Night on SiriusXM.
In scripted TV, Blink49 Studios acquired a majority stake in Vancouver-based Front Street Pictures, a TV series and film producer for Hallmark, Lifetime, Sony, Universal, Warner Bros., Tubi and Paramount, in November 2023. The deal expanded the company’s Canadian production reach as part of its first major acquisition.
John Morayniss, Patrice Theroux, Jeff Lynas and Nelson Kuo-Lee — all veteran Entertainment One executives — launched Blink49 Studios in 2021 as an indie banner in Canada to develop and produce both scripted and unscripted content.
Fifth Season (formerly Endeavor Content) became the lead strategic investor in Blink49, which is headquartered in Toronto with offices in Los Angeles. The company also serves as the production chain’s primary distribution partner.
