The family of a missing Yorkshire mountain walker have been notified after the bodies of a man and a dog were found in the Scottish Highlands.
Kyle Sambrook, 33, traveled from West Yorkshire to Glencoe on February 18 with his Beagle named Bane.
He had told his loved ones that he planned to hike and wild camp on Buachaille Etive Mor, one of the country’s most recognizable Munros.
Kyle planned to return to his home three days later, but he had not been heard from since the day he began his walk.
A spokesman for Scotland Police said: ‘Around 2.15pm on Saturday 25 February 2023 the bodies of a man and a dog were recovered by Mountain Rescue Teams and HM Coastguard in the Glencoe area.
“Formal identification has yet to take place, but the family of missing man Kyle Sambrook has been notified.
“They would like to thank everyone involved in the search and have requested that their privacy be respected.
“Our thoughts are with Kyle’s family as we support them through this difficult time.”
Glencoe Mountain Rescue was heavily involved in the search operation and faced thick snow and steep cliffs.
