Police have confirmed the bodies of a man and dog found in the Scottish Highlands are those of missing Yorkshire walker Kyle Sambrook and his Beagle, Bane.
Kyle, 33, had traveled from West Yorkshire to Glencoe on February 18. He told his loved ones that he planned to hike and wild camp at Buachaille Etive Mor and return home three days later.
When he did not return, loved ones raised the alarm and a search for his car began soon after.
A body was found in the Glencoe area around 2:15 am Saturday afternoon after an extensive search by mountain rescue teams and the Coast Guard.
A police spokesman said: “Kyle’s family would like to thank all those involved in the search and have asked that their privacy be respected. There do not appear to be any suspicious circumstances and a report will be sent to the Attorney General’s Office.”
