Here’s the deal – Boosie was driving a shotgun in a black Cadillac SUV when police pulled over for heavy windows and hidden tags. During the traffic stop, officers handcuffed the rapper… who drove Boosie on a… extensive rant against policesaid at one point that he was targeted because he is a celebrity.

Deputy Chief of Police of Fairburn Anthony Bazydloc tells Olasmediatv.com… the officer who handcuffed Boosie says it was for the officer’s safety.

We were told that the police planned to search the car, claiming that they smoke marijuana, and the chief says it is common for people to be handcuffed when officers search a car.

As for Boosie’s claims that he was targeted because of his celebrity, Bazydlo says he isn’t… telling us that the car’s temporary license plate, which was reportedly blocked and unverifiable, was the main reason for the stop was.

We were also told that the officer involved in the arrest claims that Boosie’s criminal past played no part in his being handcuffed.

As we first reported, the officers said their search turned up a large bag of cash and a bag of weed… and then the driver, 19-year-old De’Shun Lawrence claimed ownership of the pot, he was quoted, and then he and Boosie were released.
