Boris ‘appoints new ministers’ so he can cling to leader

Boris Johnson is trying to put together a new cabinet so that he can remain as leader for a few more months.

The controversial prime minister will resign today, but hopes to remain in the top position until the autumn.

To do that, he must fill dozens of ministerial positions after a mass exodus from his government.

According to the BBC political editor, a full cabinet has been appointed.
