Bosses apply the management techniques of Premier League coaches – with Liverpool player Jurgen Klopp as the main inspiration

FOOTIE-loving bosses are adopting the management techniques of Premier League gaffers, a study found.

Eighty percent have used tactical whiteboards or worn a tracksuit to the office – with Liverpool‘s Jurgen Klopp the best inspiration.

Others prefer Jose Guardiola And Jose Mourinho‘s approaches to management – and some have copied Sir Alex Ferguson when handing out the blow-drying treatment.

Of those who admit to using properties of top football managers, 45 percent did this to help their team achieve important goals, and 42 percent hoped to boost morale.

Some bosses said they held passionate team discussions to mobilize their employees, while others animatedly called for business decisions to be reversed.

A spokesperson for CopyBet, who commissioned the study, said: “It’s exciting to see so many people taking inspiration from the world of football management and putting it into practice in their workplace.”

Eighty-seven percent of bosses who copied the football elite say their leadership skills have improved as a result, and 88 percent say they can communicate better.

Just under half believe their team finds their methods inspiring.

OnePoll’s survey of 1,750 workplace managers with a passion for soccer also found that 62 percent believe there’s little difference between executives and a team of soccer players.

Despite this, only 43 percent think they have what it takes to be a top football manager, but 37 percent think the role is ‘easy’.
