This fan wrote: “Feel nauseous after that horrendous bone crusher at Osadebe. Thoughts and prayers for him and also for our own players who were visibly affected by what they saw. How can that be a yellow card? Outrageous”

Manager Mark Hughes confirmed that Osadebe will be out for a “considerable amount of time”.

The Manchester United the legend added that his players were “emotionally moved” after what had happened to their teammate.

Hughes told BBC Radio Leeds: “It is not good news, unfortunately it is a double break, so he will be out for a long time.

“A lot of the guys that you could clearly see were emotionally moved by it so they could just get on with their work – because we really had to keep playing for Manny’s sake.
