Ranvir Singh was promptly knocked out by Work and Pensions Minister Thérèse Coffey on Thursday morning when she put her colleague’s MP Liz Truss’s campaign to become Conservative party leader to the test.
when Singh highlighted Truss’ track record compared to Mordaunt’s when it comes to Brexit, Coffey was eager to emphasize that her friend and colleague now stands behind the referendum results.
Coffey hit back: “Liz Truss is Liz Truss, but I dare you to find one MP who does not want to ensure that the mission of the government under which we were elected in a manifesto in 2019 is not the right one.
“It’s the right one,” she added. “Our approach to leveling, to ensure that we have prosperity across the country.
“Make sure that wherever you are, in any part of the UK, we continue to support the UK.
