Britain's largest outdoor water park is the perfect place to enjoy a summer vacation day out with friends and family. Splashdown Quaywest, with eight slides, is just a stone's throw from Goodrington Beach in Paignton, Devon.
The water park offers visitors a variety of adrenaline-pumping slides, from the 20-metre-high, near-vertical plunge into a black hole of Devil's Drop to the lightning-fast The Screamer.
Thrill seekers will love the Wild Kamikaze slide, which takes you down a 60-metre length in three steep drops.
Launched in 2023, the 3Fall slide is the perfect way to test the skills of family and friend groups with a head-first mat race.
Visitors looking to take it a little easier can test their skills on the Corkscrew, a mat ride that takes you through 320 feet of head-spinning turns.
The little ones can have fun on another seven slides specially designed to their taste in Captain Lewey's Shipwreck Island.
Splashdown Quaywest has a rating of 3.5 on TripAdvisorwhere users enthusiastically talk about the fun days they spent in the park with their family and friends.

Another reviewer said: “Great day out for all the family, lots of fast slides, one for daredevils, tyre slides, a race track slide, gentle twisty slides, a swimming pool, a new pirate themed area with slides for the little ones, sun terrace, nice restaurant, lots of changing rooms, lockers available, great value for money, will definitely be back.”
And a visitor from Nottingham said: “What a hidden gem! We had a great time with children (6 and 11) where all the slides were available to them. Could do with some more staff to supervise people on the rides.”
The park is open daily from 9am to 7pm until 1 September. After that, a new opening schedule of 10am to 5pm applies until 4 September.
Splashdown Quaywest is open on weekends throughout September and closes at the end of the season until next year.
