Buhari should talk to Nigerians and not make statements – Ali Ndume, #Buhari #talking #Nigerians #issuing #statements #Ali #Ndume Welcome to OLASMEDIA TV NEWSThis is what we have for you today:
Ali Ndume, a Borno state senator and a leader of the All Progressives Congress, has said President Muhammadu Buhari should speak directly to Nigerians after attacks across the country and not allow his aides to make statements on his behalf to lay.
Ndume appeared in an interview on Channels Television and said he is “really disappointed with the response from so many leaders”.
During the interview, the senator said;
“I’ve said it before. When it comes to matters like this, it is the president himself who is supposed to be talking to Nigerians, not some press adviser.
“The president must, of course, take responsibility. † † he is the chairman. By the time you ask people to elect you as president, God will hold you accountable no matter what happens to a Nigerian.
“And it is our responsibility – the government’s – the safety and well-being of its citizens. And you have leaders who react as if it is a victim, not their responsibility.
“It pains me to be called a senator. I am almost helpless. Many of us are like that, sitting as observers.”
