CALLUM HUDSON-ODOI couldn’t contain his joy after returning to pre-season preparation with Chelsea team-mates Ben Chilwell and Ross Barkley.
Hudson-Odoi was one of the few first-team players to report to the Blues’ Cobham training ground to begin preparation for the new season.
And the England international – who was ravaged by injury last season – shared his joy to be back on the training pitch shortly after the session.
Alongside a photo of himself dribbling the ball, Hudson-Odoi tweeted: “Feels good to be back!”
Chelsea fans were quick to comment, with one saying: “A big season is coming for you, CHO!”
Another added: “It’s your season bro…go hard!”
And another added: “Welcome back star boy.”
One commented, “So much potential! Come on Odoi.”
Another joined in: “I expect a Vinicius type from Callum Hudson Odoi this season.”
Hudson-Odoi’s England teammate Ben Chilwell was also delighted to be back on the training ground.

Alongside an Instagram photo of himself, the left-back wrote, “Good to be back with the boys today.”
Hudson-Odoi made just 15 league appearances for Chelsea last season and missed the final third of the season with an Achilles tendon problem.
Blues boss Thomas Tuchel recently said of the winger’s absence: “It’s a muscle injury that has affected more or less the whole leg, both legs.
“There is a lack of strength that he can just bring, and the tests showed that he lacked mobility and the strength to be on the pitch.
“That’s why we miss him so, for so long.”
Chelsea will kick off their preparation for two weeks on Sunday with a friendly outfit against Mexican Club America.
Tuchel’s troops’ Premier League campaign kicks off on August 6 with a trip to Goodison Park to face Everton.
