hannel 4 is making a documentary series Prime Minister Boris Johnson – uncovering the events that shaped the man, his rise to power and his premiership.

The four-part series will merge rare archival footage with interviews with friends and foes with an intimate knowledge of Mr. Johnson to reveal his true character.

The hour-long episode series, working titled Boris, aims to provide greater insight into Mr Johnson’s actions, ambition and events that have shaped the modern age. British politics.

Channel 4 Chief Content Officer Ian Katz said: “However the story of Boris Johnson’s political career ends, he has done more to change Britain and the nature of our politics than any other recent political figure.

“This groundbreaking series will attempt to answer the question of what shaped the boy who wanted to be king of the world and how he grew to believe he could escape the laws of political gravity.” The series will reveal how the germ of political rivalry began in the corridors of Eton, where Johnson defeated the former prime minister. David Cameron to the prestigious role of school principal, and how he honed his skills during his campaign for student president at Oxford.

It will examine his meteoric rise to power and become mayor of London and finally achieve his dream job as Prime Minister of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

The series was commissioned by Alf Lawrie and Tim Hancock on Channel 4 and is a production of 72 Films, who are behind The Trump Show and Crime & Punishment.

Mr Hancock said: “The track record of 72 Films in making documentaries speaks for itself and through their meticulous research and access to those most intimate with Johnson, we look forward to the most authoritative and insightful biography of Boris Johnson until now.”

David Glover, executive producer for 72 Films, added: “This is a big project that we are starting. It won’t be polemical, but something that tells its story.

“We aim to create a series that both its supporters and enemies will find fresh and interesting.”
