Chelsea get huge injury boost as N’Golo Kante returns to training after a month from training with hamstring problem

N’GOLO KANTE has returned to Chelsea training for six weeks after suffering a hamstring injury against Tottenham.

The Frenchman limped out of the 2-2 draw on August 14 and has not played since.

Kante31, went on to miss the Premier League clashes against Leeds, Leicester, Southampton and West Ham – as well as the Blues’ first two Champions League games.

Boss Thomas Tuchel was fired in his absence, with new man Graham Potter finally able to work with his star midfielder for the first time.

Kante has only played two games this season after starting with the 1-0 win at Everton prior to the Tottenham draw.

His return is a timely boost for the Blues, who play NINE matches in a grueling October.

He participated Chelsea training by many other stars who want to get in top shape during the international break.

Edouard Mendy dropped out of the Senegal squad with a knee problem, but was able to return to training with deputy Kepa Arrizabalaga.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Ruben Loftus-Cheek also took part in the session, as did Trevoh Chalobah.

Potter, 47, recently ruled over Chalobah in a different position from the central defender in which he was deployed under Tuchel.

During a training match with Brighton, he put the 23-year-old at the base of midfield, a role Jorginho often plays in competitive matches.

Chalobah was joined in the middle by Conor Gallagher and Denis Zakaria, with the Blues coming out 2-1 thanks to a couple of goals from Carney Chukwuemeka.

Chelsea will be back in action on Saturday with a trip to Crystal Palace, where Potter will be introduced to Prem action for the first time with his new side.
