According to The Daily Telegraph, Chelsea turned to former defender Ake as part of the summer reconstruction.
Ake made his Chelsea debut in 2012 and made 17 senior appearances in the club. In 2017, I joined Bournemouth and traded £ 20m, impressed with the loan from the previous season.
After Bournemouth was demoted to the championship in 2020, he joined the city with a deal worth £ 40 million.

When Tuchel was previously in charge of Borussia Dortmund, he tried to sign an open 27-year-old Ake with the idea of returning to London.
Chelsea have investigated the availability of Matais de Rigut, but Juventus has withheld at least £ 60m and Timo Werner wants it as part of the deal.
Ake won two Premier League titles and the League Cup in two years in Manchester, but last season he started only 10 league games and eight more cup tournaments.
