Jimmy Carr returns to Taranaki
British comedian Jimmy Carr added a second performance in New Plymouth to meet demand.
Carr will return to the TSB Showplace on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 to begin a national tour with 12 stops titled Terribly Funny.
The British comic last performed at the 955-seat venue in 2018, when a second show also had to be added to meet demand.
Carr’s New Plymouth’s performances will take place at 7pm and 9.30pm, and tickets went on sale Monday.
The comedian is known for his frontier-shifting stand-up comedy and works as a television program presenter. He presented the comedy panel program 8 out of 10 cats since 2005, and appeared on IK various times.
Teresa Turner, New Plymouth District Council’s community and customer service group manager. said it was “fantastic to have another international action over the summer to the region”.
