Paul Foreman (Peter Ash) has meddled in Summer Spellman’s (Harriet Bibby) relationship with Aaron Sandford (James Craven) on Coronation Street.

Paul confronted Aaron in a case of miscommunication.

He thought Aaron got hold of some weed and was secretly on drugs, but he actually stole them from Eric, his abusive and alcoholic father who often attacks Aaron when he is drunk.

Tonight an enraged Eric arrived at the garage and grabbed his son and demanded the drugs and money back.

While Tyrone (Alan Halsall), Fiz (Jennie McAlpine), and Maria (Samia Longchambon) looked on (seriously, why didn’t they stop him?!), Aaron was eventually rescued by Kevin (Michael Le Vell), who quickly scared Eric. from.

Keep going, Kevin.

When Paul learned that Aaron was in possession of weed, he marched to the flat and confronted the teenager, who was already exhausted from the collision with Eric.

A tired and vulnerable Aaron finally punched Paul in the face when he accused him of leading Summer astray.

When Paul planned to report Aaron to the police, Billy (Daniel Brocklebank) returned and listened to the teen show him his aching arm and explain that his father is abusive but doesn’t want to leave him alone.

After persuading Aaron to stay, Billy also managed to stop Paul from going to the station – but that didn’t end the matter.

On their own, Paul told Aaron to leave for Summer’s sake and end their relationship, pointing out that she really doesn’t need the drama in her life.

These scenes aired prior to the latest twist in Aaron’s storylinethrough which he will discover that Eric has been caught in a house fire.

But will he listen to Paul and dump Summer when he has to deal with his father alone?
