Coronation Street‘s Kimberly Hart-Simpson has joined the cast of Brassic ahead of the upcoming fifth series.
The actress, who played Nicky Wheatley in the ITV soap, will play a character called Andrea in the Sky Max comedy series, which follows the trials and tribulations of protagonist Vinny O’Neill and his friends in the fictional town of Hawley.
Kimberly joins the Cobblestone Kings and Tina McIntyre star Michelle Keegan, who stars in the Sky original.
The Hollyoaks actress shared the news of her Brassic casting on social media, featuring a photo of herself outside a trailer, labeled “Andrea.”
Next: Brassic – Season 5 – Andrea,” she wrote on Instagram, alongside a photo. “Hey babes.”
Kimberly’s Corrie castmates were quick to comment, with Paddy Bever – who plays Max Turner – writing, ‘here she is. so proud x’, while Nina Lucas star Mollie Gallagher wrote: ‘AMAZING.’
Charlotte Jordan, who plays Daisy Midgeley, said, “Yay yay yay,” and Asha Alahan actress Tanisha Gray added, “Ahhhh!!! Ever so proud.’

Kimberly has occasionally portrayed Nicky on Coronation Street for the past two years.
Nicky befriended Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) in the wake of the death of Sinead Tinker (Katie McGlynn), and she later returned to the cobblestones, hoping to pursue her dream of becoming a teacher.
Things didn’t go well and she then left the street of the same name when Daniel turned her down.
She made one last appearance earlier this year, when Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) took her home from the police station after her arrest.
