An increase in funding for the Tūhura Otago Museum has been recommended by Dunedin City Council staff, following strong public support.
However, granting the museum's request could help push the municipality's rates above 17.5%.
Other discussion points this week include rent increases for community housing, pressure on council costs, funding for Dunedin's nature hospital, the future of a performing arts venue and the ownership of hockey pitches in need of an upgrade.
