Courteney Cox begged Claudia Winkleman for a place inside The traitors series two – but she was turned down.

The Traitors were confirmed to be returning for another run after becoming the surprise hit of 2022, ending with an of the best episodes of television ever and then earn a Bafta nomination.

Applications are now open to stay in the Highland castle, turn into a paranoid mess and follow the likes of Amanda and Maddy to become a bona fide hun.

However, one fan of the show who is strictly forbidden from appearing on The Traitors is Friends star and Scream queen Courteney.

In a hilarious clip, Claudia called on fans to apply as she stood next to a cloaked figure slowly revealing that she is one of the biggest stars in the world.

“Claudia, can I please?” pleaded Courteney. But her screams fell on deaf ears.

“I’ve said this to you before, it’s a no,” Claudia emphasized.

“You can’t apply if you’re a celebrity or as famous as this one. Now… there you go.”

Needless to say, fans were stunned by the revelation, with one message: ‘THE WAY I GASPED???’ which was followed by another who confessed, “I didn’t see this coming.”

The Traitors recently brought in some celebrities for a one-off Comic Relief sketch, but Metro understands there are absolutely no plans for a celebrity run.

Claudia confirmed his return, previously saying, “I can’t wait to get back to the castle and watch people play the best game on television.

“I’m going to knit a high funnel sweater right away.”

The Traitors will return to BBC One later this year.
