Crash in Manchester LIVE: two officers injured after collision with car while attempting three-point turn | UK | News

A major road in north Manchester has been closed in both directions after a crash involving an unmarked police car.

Greater Manchester Police say two officers have been injured following the impact on the A664 Rochdale Road, in Blackley.

The police car was making a three-point turn when the crash occurred, which also involved a white Mercedes A-Class. One officer was taken to hospital.

Rochdale Road remains closed between Middleton Old Road and Cambridge Road this morning (May 29). It is understood the road will be closed for a number of hours.

Motorists are urged to avoid the area during rush hour. An update on Inrix stated that heavy traffic is approaching the scene of the accident.
