Studio MDHR said: Cuphead: the delicious last coursethe downloadable content for Cuphead has sold over a million units.
The Delicious Last Course was originally unveiled in 2018 for a 2019 launch date, but was delayed to June 30, 2022.
In the game, Cuphead and Mugman are joined by a third character, Mrs. Chalice. Players will receive a number of new items and will face a new set of bosses on a new island. The DLC is available on Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch, and Steam.
“Cuphead DLC has gone platinum and has sold 1 million copies!” said Maja Moldenhauer, co-founder of Studio MDHR, in a Facebook post. “We are floored with all the love, feedback, shared experiences and fan art we’ve received over the past week. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.”
I have some history with Cuphead, and over the years I’ve come to appreciate being an artist, even though I’ve never gotten more than three levels into it. I tried out the DLC at the recent Summer Game Fest and it was quite fun, but I can’t say I’ve made any progress with it. Maybe I’ll get to it one of these days, but Mike Minotti from GamesBeat managed to beat it.
