GALAXY S23 ULTRA angled

Hey you! It’s getting brighter in the morning, so spring has definitely sprung. I really need to go out and take more pictures for AAs Wallpaper Wednesday feature.

More of the same for Samsung?

  • It’s worth emphasizing that Hemmerstoffer has an excellent reputation for leaks, so this is probably the real deal.
  • The renders show a device that doesn’t seem all that different from the S22 Ultra.
  • You have what looks like the same teardrop-shaped rear camera housings, a similar shape and a S Pen slot in the bottom.
  • Even the dimensions are similar to the S22 Ultra, which may disappoint those who want a smaller device.
  • It all suggests that Samsung is taking a conservative approach to the Ultra series in 2023.

What to expect in terms of specifications?

  • The Galaxy S23 series is subject to: lots of rumors and leaksand so an image is starting to emerge for the Ultra as well.
  • A number of sources have claimed that the S23 Ultra will switch from a 108MP main camera to a 200MP shooter.
  • This is an interesting move if true, but we hope Samsung does much better than Motorola’s 200MP phone.
  • Our own Dhruv Bhutani tested the Motorola devicecalled its 200MP camera “severely undercooked” and criticized its poor low-light performance.
  • Nevertheless, we also hope Samsung maintains the dual 3x and 10x telephoto lineup of the Ultra. I have before waxed raving about 10x cameras.
  • Anders, Samsung and Qualcomm announced a deal back in July for Snapdragon chips to power Galaxy flagships “worldwide.”
  • Hopefully this announcement will also include Europe as it was the only region to receive Exynos powered S22 phones.
  • Finally, a report from Korea suggests that Samsung could debut the phones earlier than expected. Maybe a reveal in January?
  • Either way, it seems that Google isn’t the only company that may be offering an iterative approach to next-generation smartphones.

thursday thing

RIP to rapper Coolio, who won a 1995 Grammy for Gangsta’s Paradise. The 59-year-old was found unconscious at a friend’s house before he… declared dead by paramedics. It is believed that he died of a heart attack.

Of course, a lot of tributes are coming in for the rapper. But a clip doing the rounds again is a 2013 video shows Coolio performing an acoustic version of Gangsta’s Paradise in a college dorm room in the UK. I remember hearing about this story at the time and thought it was so cool (pun not intended). He even did cooked a three-course menu for the students!

Nice day
