Alex Trebek from JEOPARDY! has used profanity in a resurfaced clip the game show dug up to reveal important news.
The late, wonderful host tragically passed away in 2020 of pancreatic cancer.
Danger! shared a clip of Alex Trebek in his hay day getting hilariously confused.
The vintage video showed him with a dial-up phone and his iconic mustache.
He advertised, “So keep watching Jeopardy! 24 hours a day, and call this number” before pausing.
Alex then yelled, “Stupid bastard, you’re not watching it 24 hours a day!”

But thankfully, that’s exactly what fans will soon be able to do.
The iconic TV personality, who would have turned 82 last week, will be showing his legacy live via 24-hour streaming.
After the cursing clip, the video broke off with a loud buzzer sound and a screen that read “Two new 24/7 channels.”
Indeed, Pluto TV is launching channels for Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy 24 hours a day! starting on August 1.
Later in the ad for the new venture, the screen read: “Jeopardy! with Alex Trebek.”
So it’s safe to say that the episodes will be from the era of the host, he ran the show from 1984 until his passing.
Reruns of both game shows will be available soon on Pluto TVa free streaming service from Paramount Global, which reportedly has more than 68 million monthly users.
SHARP TONGUED TREBEK
The legendary host actually swore regularly, just not while hosting the quiz show.
A mashup video of the famous figure includes instances where he “F**k ’em!” called out. and “no sh**t” in outtakes from other older promos.
Fans have enjoyed seeing this side of the otherwise buttoned-up host.
“I’ve never heard the best host swear. I’ll miss him,” someone wrote under the extended version of Alex cursing.
“This makes me miss him even more!” wrote another.
“One of the few celebrities I will truly miss. Absolute mark of an American icon,” wrote a third.
WHO WILL RECOVER?
Ken Jennings and Mayim Bialik, 46, started filling in for the legendary Alex after his tragically 2020 over and a fleet of Season 37 celebrity guest hosts, including now disgraced Mike Richards.
As Season 38 draws to a close, no permanent host has been chosen, as the fanbase is feverishly aware.
Ken once mixed up the terms “rake” with “h*e” at a rather infamous moment when the host was on his 74-game streak.
The incident made him appear on lists greatest danger! moments ever since.
It saw Alex – who was the host at the time – exclaiming “woah, woah! Do they teach you that in Utah?”
Ken and the late Alex were very close too – told a former champion News week that Ken was the late host’s choice as successor.
“It really looks like he was Alex Trebek’s choice, hence [the widow of] Trebek gave him his cufflinks and had him narrate his audiobook,” he said.
Fans believe that eventually Ken will most likely be chosen over Mayim – although on Pluto+ Alex’s reign will continue.
