Charlie Cox and Tatyana Maslany were a match made in heaven when they shared the screen She Hulkwith fellow attorneys Matt Murdock and Jennifer Walters bragging sizzling chemistry both on the battlefield and after hours.
No doubt many Marvel fans hope to see more of the dynamic duo together, especially now that the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen will finally be hosting his own show once again when Daredevil: Born Again it’s noticable disney Plus.
So could a reunion be on the line in the Disney Plus series? Charlie is certainly hopeful it could be.
Metro.nl recently spoke with the actor ahead of the release of his Netflix spy thriller Betrayalin which he plays a high-ranking MI6 officer accused of being a double agent.
When asked what he thought of the prospect of Tatiana, 37, appearing in his Daredevil reboot, Charlie, 40, couldn’t take the idea any more.
“I’ve made no secret of the fact that I’m a huge fan of Tatiana’s and the fun we had with She-Hulk was some of the most fun I’ve had as that character,” he replied.
“I thought she was great as Jennifer Walters, and I would be a huge…definitely supportive of her performing on our show if she’s free and available and willing and all those things. So I would really like that to happen. I have no idea if that’s possible.’
The Spider-Man: No Way Home star also expressed hope for more Marvel crossovers, now that the move from Netflix (where his Daredevil series aired from 2015 to 2018) to Disney Plus has “opened the door” to the potential of more comic book characters.
‘I know nothing. I haven’t read any scripts. So I do not know. I have no idea. But the one thing that’s nice about the Daredevil show going forward is that when we were on Netflix, of course, we didn’t have the chance to really have the crossovers other than the characters that we knew we had in that Netflix Marvel world,” he explained.
Now that door is wide open to all kinds of possibilities and for me, as someone who has become a huge fan of the comics and the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it’s really exciting that that door is open and that we can have cameos from other characters that we couldn’t before.’
However, Charlie refrained from putting out feelers for characters he’d like to see emerge, except for one villain he called “ridiculous.”
He emphasized that he did not want to suggest theories in case they were ultimately right, or if they were wrong, they would lead to disappointment.
“The one I occasionally joke about — but I probably shouldn’t, because I don’t imagine a world where it’s actually realistic for him to appear on our show — but I’ve always thought it would be funny if Stilt -Man showed up,” he admitted.
“It’s such a ridiculous superhero, such a ridiculous villain that I think it would just be funny if we found a way to do that without it massively eroding our credibility as an authentically truthful superhero show.”
Daredevil: Born Again airs on Disney Plus. She-Hulk is available to watch on Disney Plus. Treason will be released on Netflix on December 26.
