Dead Second update brings new levels and many more features

An update for bullet time shooter Dead second brings two new levels, manual reload and much more.

Dead second Launched late last year in early access for Quest via App Lab, offers a mix of arcade cover shooter and bullet-time slow-mo gameplay. However, a new update available today brings a ton of new content and requested features.

There are two new levels, Broadcast and Chemical Conflict, bringing the game’s total to eight. There is also a new shooting range where you can practice shooting, earn some extra cash and compete on leaderboards by completing challenges.

There’s also now an option to use manual reloads, so you can grab ammo from over your shoulder and put it in your weapon. If one gun isn’t enough for you, how about two? Dual swing is now an option on all levels. Weapon skins have also been added to the shop and you can now purchase a second weapon of the same type.

All weapon models have been updated to support the new ammo magazines, along with more general details and improved textures. Muzzle flashes have also been updated and improved to look more realistic as well.

As if that wasn’t enough, there are now also 23 achievements, daily rewards and new leaderboard combinations to work through. To round out this update, there are a number of other improvements to audio, ragdolls and existing levels. And if you have bHaptics hardware, you’ll be happy to hear that Dead Second has added support for that as well.

With all this new stuff coming to the game, Sponge Games will increase the price of the game to $19.99 within a week. However, the existing price of $11.99 is still available until then – if you’re interested, you can do that watch Dead Second now on App Lab.
