Depeche Mode keyboardist Andrew Fletcher’s cause of death revealed

Andy Fletcher in Depeche Mode died of tears in his main artery, the band said yesterday.

The keyboardist and his two fathers, 60, died at home on May 26th.

The band revealed on Instagram: “Andy was suffering from an aortic dissection.

“So, even if it was too early, he passed by naturally and without prolonged pain.”

They said it was “strange, sad, disoriented weeks” and celebrated Andy’s life in London last week.

The band described it as “full of wonderful memories of who Andy was, stories of all our times, and some good laughter.”

The statement added: “We feel all your love and support, and we know Andy’s family as well.”

The statement was approved by bandmates Martin Gore and Dave Ghan.

They formed a band in 1980 that became known as Depeche Mode.
