Doyin Okupe files withdrawal letter as Peter Obi’s running mate at INEC, says replacement will be announced soon

Doyin Okupe has announced that as the Labor Party running mate of Peter Obi, he has filed a withdrawal letter with the Independent National Electoral Commission.

Okupe announced that the Labor Party chairman will announce a replacement soon.

The director general of Peter Obi Campaign Organization tweeted;

This afternoon I submitted my letter of withdrawal from the post of the Labor vice presidential candidate to INEC. A replacement will be announced shortly by the party’s national chairman. I feel immensely blessed to have been part of the foundation of success 4 the LP
