Rapper drake has not been arrested in Sweden, his team says The Hollywood Reporterwiping out the feverish speculations that were spread on social media on Thursday evening.
Internet speculation suggested that Drake had been arrested by local police in a Stockholm nightclub. His team tells categorically: THR that the Grammy winner was in his hotel in the Swedish capital and had not been arrested.
As documented in a series of Instagram posts, the Canadian rapper landed at Sweden’s Arlanda airport on Wednesday afternoon, flying his personal baby blue Boeing 767 dubbed “Air Drake”. Since landing in Sweden, local media say the rapper has visited the trendy Stockholm’s Östermalm district and go to Ciccio’s restaurant.
It is unclear whether the rapper is in Sweden to record music or for personal reasons.
Last month Drake released his house-inspired seventh studio album Honestly, never mindwhich debuted at the top of the Billboard 200.
Drake revealed details of a music festival in his hometown of Toronto later this month on Wednesday. The rapper’s October World Weekend takes place from July 28 to August. 1 with a lineup including a Young Money reunion with Lil Wayne and Nicki Minaj, as well as appearances from Lil Baby and Chris Brown.
