DRIVERS have been warned they will face heavy fines for making two common mistakes during Britain’s blistering heat wave.
Amazingly, fines of up to £5,000 and £1,000 can be handed out to unsuspecting drivers for not use air conditioning correctly or even drink enough water.

Motorists will be criticized for “not having proper control” of their vehicle due to: dehydration symptoms such as dizziness and loss of focus, according to The Express.
And of course, during a heat wavethe risk of dehydration is much higher.
Mike Thompson, Chief Operating Officer at Leasing Options, told the Express, “When you start your car before a long distance journeyYou might not think that drinking an extra glass of water before leaving the house would affect your driving skills, but you’d be wrong.”
Drivers face up to £1,000 fine if found out control their vehicle.
It comes after drivers were also warned that simply misuse of air conditioning in cars can get them fines up to £5,000.
Air conditioning could see drivers being penalized under Highway Code Rule 237, which states that drivers must keep their cars “well ventilated”.
This is to prevent drowsiness when driving a vehicle.
If drivers ignore the guidance and then lose control of their engine, they risk a huge fine in the most serious cases.
