Sam Mitchell (Kim Medcalf) has proven again in EastEnders that she is not to be underestimated, tuning in to Philo‘s (Steve McFadden) nemesis Jonah Tyler (Mark Mooney).
As viewers know, the bar manager is on a mission to prove to everyone that she’s just as much a Mitchell as the other members of her family.
With Phil behind bars, she cleverly orchestrated a plan to gain ownership of the wine bar, even carrying out a siege, which she later blamed on Jonah.
Cat Slater †Jessie Wallace) remained terrified for her and her children’s lives, so almost agreed to turn the club over to Jonah, unaware that she would, in fact, turn it over to Sam.
Phil’s improvised returnhowever, things complicated for Sam, as the hard man was on the warpath, believing that nemesis Jonah had terrorized his familyand so he began to take revenge.
On the Tuesday (July 12) edition of the BBC One soap, Sam sat thinking, as she made contact with Jonah before Phil could, hoping to talk to him about a proposal she had†
Jonah then met Phil at the Queen Vicand in tense scenes, he didn’t deny all the horrific acts he was accused of, apparently for taking Sam up on her offer.
After the showdown in the boozer, Jonah spoke to Sam privately and revealed that he really wants to be a part of her plan to destroy Phil, which is why he will keep quiet about what she’s been up to.
However, the mobster had a last-minute curveball and told Sam that his men will be dealing drugs at Peggy’s whether she likes it or not, and if she even thinks about cheating on him, she’s dead!
Phil, meanwhile, headed out to get a takeaway, after his reunion with Kat. He told Sam that the Mitchell clan is stronger than ever as he walked across the Square with a grin on his face.
If only he knew what his sister has in store for him!
