OSTENDERS star Max Bowden has become a father for the first time – as his ex-girlfriend revealed she had welcomed a baby boy.
Roisin buckle took to her Instagram grid Wednesday night to show off the first sweet photos of their newborn son.
Maximum, 27and his ex-girlfriend Roisin revealed they were expecting their first child in April — after staying on good terms.
Now, the TV star’s former partner has revealed that she gave birth to their son last week and is sharing the baby’s first snaps.
Roisin took to her Instagram with a sweet black and white photo of the baby’s feet, before letting her cuddle shortly after birth.
The message was shared again by proud dad Max to his fans when the former couple first revealed their son’s sweet name.
“Reginald Buckle born September 19, 2022,” Roisin wrote in the post, who she said was delayed because she “had her hands full”.
“I haven’t been able to post until now because besides having my hands full, I’m in a complete bubble of love, bonding with my son and spending time getting to know each other,” she added up.
“It’s cliche, but I’ve never felt so much love, I can’t begin to explain it.”
It comes after Roisin revealed she hadn’t heard from the EastEnders actor in almost two months before birth.
Roisin found out Max was dating Albert Square co-star Shona McGarty in May, just weeks after their split.
Speaking for the first time about the breakup, insurance manager Roisin revealed that the soap star has since missed important scans and events, leaving her in tears.
The 37-year-old said: “At that time I was everywhere, crying, unable to see a future without him by my side.
“There was hope that we could be co-parenting, but I haven’t heard from him in six weeks, so I’m not sure exactly where that is.
“The door is open and I would never stop him from seeing his son, so hopefully we’ll hear from him.”
It’s clear that Max has since committed to financially support their child – despite not attending the 20-week ultrasound.
Speaking on her new podcast One Mum and a Baby, Roisin revealed: “I was in a tough place, myself and my ex-partner weren’t really talking, even at this point it was on and off.
“He decided not to come. I was pretty down and felt vulnerable. It was really hard for me. Even on the day of the gender reveal, I spent the morning crying.”
Roisin’s best friend Jez Jarman, 27 – who appears as her first guest on the podcast – accompanied her to the scan and prenatal classes.
She describes her female boyfriend as a “surrogate father” and reveals that Jez would be by her side for the birth, and not her former beau Max.
