Chelsea Fox (Zaraah Abrahams) is well and truly ensnared by Ravi Gulati’s (Aaron Thiara) devious ways in East Endersand when Kim Fox (Tameka Empson) tries to intervene, she’s less than pleased.
After learning from Ravi’s affair with sister Denise (Diane Parish), Kim sees him flirting with Chelsea, and decides she urgently needs to do something.
She corners Chelsea and insists she end their relationship, afraid that Chelsea will end up getting hurt.
However, Chelsea is having none of it, as actress Zaraah Abrahams revealed.
‘She’s annoyed! She flies off the handle!
“No one tells her what to do and how to do it, so she basically decides – I’m going to show you all that me and Ravi are a good thing.
“She tells them not to interfere in her private affairs.”
Kim isn’t the only person who has interfered in Chelsea and Ravi’s relationship, and Denise has already made her feelings pretty clear.
“She does feel like her mom is overprotective at first, which you can sort of understand, but then it also feels like her mom is getting in the way for reasons Chelsea can’t really understand,” explains Zaraah.
“Chelsea is willing to listen to her mother if her mother can give a clear reason why this man is so horrible but as far as Chelsea can tell he has done things wrong in the past, we have all done that but he has done them straightened out and we move forward.’
She further revealed that Denise’s disapproval subconsciously makes Chelsea want Ravi even more.
“She never completely lost that teenage urge to do things she’s not supposed to do and be a little bit rebellious,” she said.
However, it’s not just her family who expresses her concerns about her relationship.
Chelsea eventually gets some advice from Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner), who has first-hand experience of Ravi’s behaviour.
“Stacey is just giving Chelsea an insight into her experience with Ravi.
She informs Chelsea that Ravi caught her a few times, even though he knew Stacey was with Kheraat at the time; so she lends herself to the fact that he is not a good guy and that he has bad character traits.
She accepts that Chelsea would like to do this, but tries to warn her because she doesn’t really know him yet.
Kheraat also said that Ravi was not the best man in the sense that everything is a game to him. She just gave her a more three-dimensional view of Ravi.”
Will Chelsea stay true to her heart, or will she follow the advice of her family and friends and leave Ravi for good?
