Coronation Street star Sue Clearer reportedly signed a new ‘big-money’ deal to get on the ITV soap.
The actress, who plays Eileen Grimshaw, “had no doubts,” sources said, when she signed on the dotted line.
“Bosses were so happy,” an insider told me The sun. “She’s a soap opera legend and they’re thrilled to have her back on the cobblestones after I’m A Celebrity.
“The show wouldn’t be the same without her.”

Sue has played Eileen for 23 years and made her cobblestone debut way back in 2000.
Eileen has become a beloved character, appearing in countless storylines over the years, from supporting son Todd to come out as gay, to getting entangled in serial killer Pat Phelan’s vile plots.
The character’s on-and-off rivalry with Gail Platt (Helen Worth) has also given us many iconic moments!
Meanwhile, Sue took a break from long-running series drama last year to join the latest series of I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!.
The 59-year-old recently discussed taking HRT (hormone replacement therapy), a comment on the positive boost of energy it has given her.
She also credited HRT for helping her change her attitude about joining the show.
“I always said I would never do the jungle – I did it, I loved it, it gave me a lot of confidence, it gave me a big boost and I want many more adventures,” the soap star said on This Morning.
‘I feel like a completely different person to myself, I can’t wait to go! This is my decade. This is for me,” she added.
Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV.
