Elon Musk Supports Dogecoin “Wherever Possible”; Here are times he did

Born from a meme, Dogecoin [DOGE] took the crypto verse by storm. From sparking interest among GenZ on TikTok to promoting celebrities, DOGE is an A-lister in crypto wood. However, most of these recommendations or support come in randomly and disappear too quickly. Despite the arrival and departure of these tourists, Tesla CEO Elon Musk has proved to be the biggest supporter of the meme coin.

A plethora of tweets were sent out in support of Dogecoin. Musk has not missed an opportunity to approve the dog-themed crypto. The reason behind Musk’s propensity for possession has been questioned time and again. While some suggest he is trying to inflate the price of the coin, a few others say he was one of its founders. Musk, however, has cleared the air and revealed that the reason was as simple as

“A lot of people who are not so rich have encouraged me to buy and support Dogecoin. I respond to those people.”

Musk was even hit with a lawsuit claiming he was part of the ‘Dogecoin Ponzi scheme’. Unfazed by the lawsuit, Musk vowed to continue to support DOGE.

The self-proclaimed Dogefather is an integral part of the crypto industry. He even went on to add support for Bitcoin† But the world saw how long it took. However, Dogecoin appears to have taken up residence permanently with Tesla and other Musk companies.

This Is How Musk Supported Dogecoin

While Doge-targeted tweets have proved helpful, the real deal comes from the inclusion or mention of Dogecoin. To further increase DOGE’s presence in his life, Musk also added support for the meme coin to his companies.

Tesla

2022 started great for the Dogecoin community. Musk’s electric car company, Tesla, allowed private individuals to buy brand merchandise using DOGE.

While cars were out of the picture, DOGE could be used to buy other merchandise. Eligible products have the cryptocurrency logo next to the ‘Order’ button.

Tesla Super Charging Station

The community was ecstatic after the inclusion of DOGE in Tesla. But Musk wanted to further increase Dogecoin’s presence with the company. That’s why he added support for DOGE payments to the Santa Monica supercharger.

Santa Monica emerged as the first Supercharger in Tesla to accept DOGE, and the company is likely to bring the OG meme crypto to several other superchargers.

SpaceX

Elon Musk certainly caused a stir by hinting at the possibility of SpaceX accepting Dogecoin. SpaceX was founded in 2002 by Musk. The company was founded to revolutionize space technology while creating affordable spaceflight. A company of this stature would accept a cryptocurrency made as a joke.

A plethora of tweets about how Dogecoin would conquer Mars surfaced. A striking peak of 9 percent soon followed.

The boring company

Elon Musk decided to bring Dogecoin to Las Vegas. Musk’s Boring Company had previously developed Loop, a regional transit system. Loop riders will soon be able to pay with Dogecoin. The Loop expansion is in the works as 50 more stations will debut soon. This would further boost DOGE adoption.

Twitter could be on this list soon, the community speculates. While the deal has taken several twists and turns, Musk has confirmed DOGE’s presence on the social media platform.

Moreover, speaking of his latest DOGE-friendly move, Musk said“Support Doge whenever possible.” Therefore, it is safe to say that sooner or later the world will witness the supremacy of Dogecoin.
