Emelie Sande “wasn’t looking for love” when she met her friend Yoana Karemova, but the two couldn’t be happier.
Singer-songwriter Emelie 35, came out and revealed that she was in love with a woman earlier this year, she later said that she met pianist Yoana when she was learning about classical music.
She told Metro.co.uk that Yoana’the one for life‘, and this is the first time she feels’really love myself‘.
Now Emelie has revealed more details about their adorable romance, overjoyed to have found someone who “understands” her.
“It’s so nice to be in love,” she said in a chat with Amel Rachedi while being interviewed for her YouTube channel.
“It’s bad, it’s so much fun just being in love, it brings out new parts of your personality when you’re really seen and respected by someone,” she continued, unable to speak highly enough about her to speak to the other half.
“I think it allows you to push yourself further, you know, it feels like okay, finally there’s someone in this world who understands me, and we have a great soul connection.”
The Clown hitmaker went on to say that her relationship with Yoana and starting to live like her true self “changed my life.”
She called the process “beautiful” and said her partner “inspires me every day.”
She continued to lavish praise on Yoana, adding, “She’s a truly phenomenal musician, she’s just out of this world, so I know I’ll always learn from her.
“I’ll always have that inspiration, and also her dedication to music is just incredible, so you know, I think that’s something that we understand together, that we’re both so committed to music.”
About how they got together, the Read All About It singer said she was just “out and about” and wasn’t really on the hunt for anything serious, but “here she came” and it feels like “the universe has us together.” brought’ .

Before dating Yoana, Emelie was married to Adam Gouraguine, whom she no longer has contact with.
However, she has said she is “very happy for him” and hopes he feels the same for her.
Emeli became engaged to longtime partner Adam in 2012 before getting married in September of the same year. In 2014, they announced their separation.
