THE Dingles are torn apart as they unite to support Face Dingle in the fight against breast cancer.
But next week in Emmerdale, the character played by Sally Dexter will make a heartbreaking decision for Chas and Cain.
Faith Dingle seems to have accepted her fate after being diagnosed with another cancer.
She kept her secret for weeks with the help of her daughter-in-law Moira, nurse Wendy Posner, and Emmerdale’s GP Liam Kavana, but the character eventually had an explosive birthday in a wool pack. Revealed everything to the kids during the bash.
Since then, she has decided not to keep anything secret from Chas or Cain (painted by Lucy Pargeter and Jeff Hordley).
But when she chooses to stop chemotherapy, despite the wishes of her children, they can only support her.
As the day of the faith scan approaches, Moira encourages her husband Cain to accompany her faith.
However, Emmerdale’s tough guys prefer to stay behind the wool pack and drink, mainly because of their tense relationship with their mother.
Chas is smoking, but Moira’s heart sinks, confirming that Cain hasn’t stepped up for faith, and she immediately pleads for him.
It is not yet known if Cain chooses to see the senses, but his efforts cannot appease the bitter chass he thinks he is not doing enough for his faith.
Still, her irritation is horrifying when the doctor calls Faith and tells her to come to discuss the scan results.
Oncologists have some bad news that can hurt faith and chas-cancer is widespread.
Chas’s pain only increases when faith insists on refusing further chemotherapy. That is, she is ready to face death.
Unable to accept the choice of faith, Chas asks her to reconsider, but she is eventually forced to accept the decision.
Later, Chas gets angry with Cain’s apparent indifference to the decision of faith, unaware that he keeps hiding his struggle from her.
