Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock) worries about the prospect of visiting the Woolpack in Emmerdale, as it marks the first time he’s seen his old workplace since his devastating stroke.
At home, Marlon has made tremendous progress in his recovery.
Assisted by Kit (Thoren Ferguson), Marlon has managed to stand on parallel bars and even take a step with a walker.
However, it soon becomes more about the emotional progress when Rhona (Zoe Henry) brings up the idea of going to the pub for their engagement party.
Marlon is understandably nervous. Not only is the Woolpack where he worked, but the last time Marlon was in the pub he proposed to Rhona on his birthday – a lot has changed since then.
With support from Paddy (Dominic Brunt), Marlon agrees to Rhona’s idea, and they come for their party.
Marlon arranges a declaration of love for Rhona as everyone cheers, but is he as pleased as he does?
