Emmerdale Spoilers: Special Faith Episode Amid Cancer Death Story | soap

Have your tissues ready, Emmerdale viewers, as an emotional and special episode has been confirmed amid Faith Dingle’s (Sally Dexter) tragic cancer storyline.

Fans are already moved by the heartbreaking storyline; and last but not least the performance of the sublime Sally.

After recently telling her family about the diagnosis, Faith confided in her that she doesn’t want to continue with the chemotherapy.

Chas persuades her reluctant mother to continue treatment, but when she receives the news that her cancer has spread and the chemo isn’t working, she makes a final decision to take control of the end of her life.

Chas (Lucy Pargeter) and Cain (Jeff Hordley) discover Faith is stopping her chemo and embarking on a Night of Souls, reflecting on the family tragedy and taking themselves to the past.

An Emmerdale spokesperson explained: “Cain has a complicated relationship with Faith and Chas cannot understand his apparent indifference to Faith’s decision to end her treatment.

“Chas is sure he will regret not contacting her, and soon a night of soul-searching ensues.”

In episodes to air later this week, Faith will face the devastating diagnosis.  Not only will she realize the consequences of secondary cancer, but tensions will remain high with her children, Chas (Lucy Pargeter) and Cain (Jeff Hordley), to whom she cannot confide the news.  With nowhere to go, Faith relies on Moira (Natalie J Robb) for the support she so desperately needs.  Moira urges Faith to tell the rest of the family, but she's adamant she wants to mend her relationships first.  The episodes were produced with the support of the charity Breast Cancer Now, who work closely with the Emmerdale production team on Faith's secondary cancer storyline to give it a realistic and authentic portrayal. The episode will focus heavily on the conversations and reminiscing of the siblings as the storyline progresses.

And the preview of Emmerdale has warned of further heartache; though it will be spliced ​​with elements of Faith’s unique and uplifting personality.

“Emotional times are ahead for the Dingle family and the community of Emmerdale, but with Faith’s zest for life, her humor and warmth will inevitably find a way to break through,” the spokesperson added.

In the poignant episode, Faith will also reveal her news and decision to her close friends Eric Pollard (Chris Chittell) and Brenda (Lesley Dunlop).

“Chas desperately wants her brother to reconnect with their mother before it’s too late and these scenes really explore the reasons behind their complicated relationship,” explains Lucy.

“Chas and Cain have a genuine heart for their hearts and I was thrilled to have the opportunity to rediscover their past.

“The scenes were emotional to film and I’m really looking forward to seeing them come together as part of a really moving episode.”

“Filming these scenes was a heartfelt and emotional experience,” Jeff confided.

“These episodes are beautifully written and great for acting and I’m glad I got people the chance to see a different side of Cain.”

The episode will air in early July.
