In a new Emmerdale preview video, Gabby (Rosie Bentham) faces a very awkward situation when her stepmother Laurel (Charlotte Bellamy) makes a surprise visit to Home Farm. She doesn’t realize that Gabby is entertaining her new man upstairs.
Gabby is in her robe when Laurel arrives with some staff contracts. Laurel assumes Gabby is undressing because Thomas is finally sleeping through the night. ‘I have no idea. He’s with mommy,” Gabby says.
Laurel then finds out that Gabby’s new boyfriend was staying over. The penny falls for Laurel as Gabby gestures her to keep her voice low. “He’s still here!” she realizes and moves out of Gabby’s way, after jokingly offering to “drink him a cup of tea.”
If she had, she would have been in for a shock, because moments later who else would come down the stairs but Kit (Thoren Ferguson). Like in the same Kit that Laurel is dating. Without a shirt on.
“Sorry, you’re just really hot,” Gabby tells him. “You’re even fitter in daylight.” He gets that a lot. And it won’t be long before the two are back upstairs.
It ends in tears when Gabby and Laurel find out that Gabby’s “Chris” and Laurel’s “Kit” are one and the same man – but hopefully the tears will be those of Kit, the rat with two timings.
