As Amelia Spencer (Daisy Campbell) processes the shocking news that she’s pregnant on Emmerdale, she has something else on her mind: Noah Dingle (Jack Downham) is about to be released from prison.

He was jailed for stalking and harassing Chloe (Jessie Elland), but Amelia visited him while he was inside and he showed a different side of himself. While viewers may be a little skeptical about whether Noah has really changed, Daisy Campbell says Amelia is definitely ready to give him the benefit of the doubt.

“I feel like she believes in forgiveness anyway and sees the best in everyone around her,” she told us. “I think she could see him change and I think she saw a huge difference. She’s already seen him in prison and I think she can see him changing and becoming a better person and maybe learning from what he had done before with the whole Chloe situation.”

At the same time, Amelia is a little wary, as Daisy explains, “I think in the back of her mind she still knows what he’s like. She’s trying to block that so she can only see the good in him.’

Amelia hopes that the friendship that seems to have blossomed in prison will continue when Noah is back in the village.

“I think she’s really happy with it,” Daisy says. “When she first went to visit him in prison, they were on more civil terms with how he treated her at the party and the whole situation there. I think she felt a little sorry for him because she knew no one visited him, and Charity (Emma Atkins) didn’t visit him very often. I think that’s why she kept going to see him.

“I think if she knows he’s coming out, she’s a little excited about starting that friendship over again and not having to visit him in prison and actually see him in the outside world. So hopefully that friendship can be connected a little bit more.”
