Sarina Wiegman about today’s game

During yesterday’s press conference, the England boss said:

“I do not think so [That England are feeling the pressure]†

“I think Norway also needs to win to be at the top of the group. We want to win. It’s easy to say the pressure is high.

“We know what we want – we want to play our best game, entertain and of course win matches.

“Our next game is tomorrow against Norway, so we want to win that game, and that’s what we’re talking about – developing our style of play, playing our best game, doing our best, and then we’ll see what that brings us.”

“They have a good team and they have Hegerberg back, which is good for them, having a player and such a personality is also very good for the game.

“We also think they have some weaknesses and we will try to exploit them.”

“I think the opportunity last Wednesday was huge. There were 70,000 people, it was the first game, we went into that game and prepared for it for months.

“We had a number of different phases in the game. I think it was a great achievement to win 1-0. I think we take some things, we had moments where we played really well, and I think we had moments where we lost the ball a little too quickly. But overall a great performance, and we’ll take that into our game tomorrow.”

“If they want to be the underdog, that’s fine. I think they have a very strong squad, and so do we, so I expect an open game and we’ll see where it goes.”
