Ethan Williams (Matthew James Bailey) is brutally attacked Hollyoaks next week by Freddie Roscoe (Charlie Clapham), who is on the hunt for information about Warren Fox (Jamie Lomas).
Just as I started advocating for you, Freddie.
Ethan, aka everyone's favorite gangster turned nightclub owner, was only just held at gunpoint a few weeks ago – and that was before that the death of his favorite niece in Lizzie Chen-Williams (Lily Best).
The focus has mainly been on Dave's (Dominic Power) grief and so Ethan hasn't received much support in the aftermath, so the coming attack couldn't have come at a worse time for him.
With Dave in bad shape, Ethan is once again called upon to help his struggling brother by a concerned Cindy Cunningham (Stephanie Waring).
But after his good deed, the owner of De Loft will be targeted by Freddie, who is on a mission to get his hands on the money Warren stole from him earlier this month.
Ethan is brutally attacked and tied to a chair in the garage while Freddie interrogates him about what exactly Warren is up to.
Ethan refuses to talk, but after more torture tactics and threats, the beloved character is released, revealing that the name of a project Warren is working on is titled Project Katie.
Freddie wastes little time investigating, although the outcome of his search is not exactly what he expected.
And as for Ethan? Well, you'll just have to wait and see, but I imagine he has a lot of recovering to do after Freddie's antics.
The popular character, of whom we have seen far too little lately, has had that a lot of to come to terms last year. Besides Lizzie's death and the gun situation, he also ended things with a soulmate Sienna Blake (Anna Passey).
As viewers will recall, Sienna was eager to get her hands on Rafe Harcourt's (Chris Gordon) fortune, but she ended up developing feelings for the Count, leaving Ethan devastated.
The popular couple, known to fans as Ethenna, mentioned time on their relationship soon after, but thanks to the great chemistry, fans everywhere are eager to see them reunite.
One to watch: Thursday June 6 from 7.30pm on Channel 4 streaming or Friday June 7 at 7pm on E4.
