Europe’s eruption by US provider causes severe setback ‘Poorer, s *** e coffee and awful weather’ | UK | News

Saagar Enjeti is the co-host of Breaking Points with Krystal and Saagar, who describe themselves as a “fearless anti-establishment Youtube program and podcast.” While failing to specify his actual experience of Europe, the presenter made sweeping claims about the state of society and culture in the continent compared to America. He was responding to a Twitter user asking why more Americans were not moving to Europe.

Mr Enjeti tweeted: “Europe is significantly poorer, more racist, less dynamic and MUCH less free than the US.

“Food is bland, coffee tastes like s *** e, the weather is mostly awful, their primary cultural export is tourism, and they have less say in the affairs of the world.”

As his tweet exploded with nearly 10,000 responses, Mr Enjeti continued to ignite the fires. He posted a photo of himself drinking coffee with the caption: “Enjoy a beautiful clear FULL American drip of coffee without a stupid cookie on the side that I do not need.”

Some Americans spoke with Mr. Enjeti agreed, with one saying he visited Barcelona but was disappointed to find that there were “no good steak houses”.

Another added that although they were “too poor” to leave the US, they were still sure that it was “the largest living country”.

Many, however, expressed their disbelief over the claims, with users from both sides of the dam refuting Mr Enjeti’s statements.

The claim that European food is bland has been quickly dismissed by many users emphasizing the cultural dominance of cuisines such as Italian and French food. Meanwhile, Emma Hilton shot back in response to the claim that Europe’s “primary cultural export is tourism”: “Your primary cultural export is a Kardashian.

“And we do not have to teach school children how to use bulletproof blankets.

“. Your cheese is terrible.”

Some Americans agreed with this sentiment, with @MosesPompilus adding: “It seems tempting not to be shot while shopping with my family.”

Others took a more scientific approach to arguing against his claim, with @JamesKAArcher adding: “Taste is a personal perspective and you are welcome to yours.

“However, we generally allow less feces, fewer insect parts and fewer larvae in our food.

“We also have significantly less food poisoning and if we do get it, we will not risk financial ruin to get medical treatment for it.”

Meanwhile, @David_Ewen pointed out that while Europe’s overall income is lower, it does not necessarily translate into a better standard of living, as “what matters more to most people is wealth distribution.”

He added: “US overall revenue has a much larger share in the hands of the top 1 percent, so life for ordinary Europeans is probably better than that of ordinary Americans.”

Other users assumed that Mr. Enjeti’s allegation was merely a deliberate attempt to launch an argument to bring more traffic to his Twitter page and promote his podcast.
