Charles Leclerc speaks
Charles Leclerc has spoken to Sky Sports F1 after his dramatic crash at the French Grand Prix, and has blamed himself.
He said: “[It was my] mistake. Like I said, I think I’ve performed at the highest level of my career, but it’s no use making those mistakes.
“So yes if we lose the championship by 32 points [the amount of points the driver believes he has lost the team] at the end of the season it will be unacceptable and I have to get on top of it.
“I go through the same process all the time. For me it was a mistake and that’s it, but I’ll go through the data.
“I lost the rear. It was a very tough weekend for me, I struggled with the balance of the car and I made a mistake at the wrong time.”
